10 DAY AYURVEDIC DETOX

Here’s a simple 10-day Ayurvedic detox plan designed to help cleanse your body and restore balance, focusing on the principles of Ayurveda. It's important to tailor the plan to your unique dosha (Vata, Pitta, or Kapha), but this general framework can work for most people. Always consult an Ayurvedic practitioner or healthcare provider before starting any detox program.

Days 1-3: Preparation Phase

Goal: Start gently preparing your body for detox.

1. Morning Routine: Drink warm water with lemon and a pinch of turmeric. Tongue scraping and oil pulling (sesame or coconut oil). Gentle yoga or stretching (15-20 minutes).

2. Diet: Focus on easily digestible, warm, and light foods like soups, cooked vegetables, and rice. Avoid processed foods, dairy, caffeine, alcohol, and sugar. Eat your largest meal at lunch, with a light dinner before 7 p.m.

3. Herbal Teas: Sip on detox teas like ginger, cumin, coriander, or fennel throughout the day.

4. Evening: Self-massage with warm sesame oil before a warm bath or shower.

Days 4-7: Deep Cleanse Phase

Goal: Enter the detox phase to cleanse the digestive system and flush out toxins.

1. Morning Routine: Warm water with lemon, followed by Triphala (herbal detox supplement). Continue tongue scraping, oil pulling, and yoga/stretching.

2. Diet: Switch to a mono-diet of Kitchari (a simple Ayurvedic dish made with mung beans, rice, and spices). Eat this for all meals for 3-4 days. Drink warm water throughout the day to aid digestion and detox.

3. Herbal Teas: Continue detox teas (ginger, cumin, coriander, fennel).

4. Self-care: Take 30 minutes each day for meditation or mindfulness practices. Add dry brushing before your shower to improve circulation and help detox.

Days 8-10: Rejuvenation Phase

Goal: Gradually reintroduce foods while nourishing your body post-detox.

1. Morning Routine: Same as previous days: warm water with lemon, Triphala, and yoga/stretching.

2. Diet: Slowly reintroduce cooked vegetables, light soups, and grains like quinoa and millet. Continue avoiding processed foods, caffeine, alcohol, and sugar. Include ghee or healthy oils for lubrication and rejuvenation.

3. Herbal Teas: Continue sipping detox teas or warm water throughout the day.

4. Evening: Continue with oil massage and relaxation rituals. Focus on deep breathing exercises.
